Lyca Gairanod returned to her old home back in Cavite to show her fans where she used to live before winning The Voice Kids back in 2014.
In her recent YouTube vlog, the young singer said that she really missed her former home because of the many memories she made in their shack by the sea.
“Mula nung nag The Voice ako, guys, marami akong hirap na pinagdaanan sa buhay. Dito na talaga ako lumaki at syempre di ko kayang kalimutan itong lugar na ‘to kung saan ako nanggaling,” she said.
Lyca opened up on how difficult it was to live in their old home. She shared one instance that they had to evacuate their house during a typhoon.
“Ayokong mawala siya. Sobrang mahal ko ‘tong bahay na ‘to and di ko siya kayang pabayaan. Kung kaya niya pang tumayo nang ganto, mag stay siya talaga,” she said.
Lyca turned emotional when she asked her grandmother, who is currently living in their old home, about their situation before.
“Ngayon, itong apo ko nga yun ang nagpaunlad sa amin dito. Sinabi ko lang sa kanya, itong bahay na ibinigay niya sa akin, dito ako mamamatay,” her grandmother said.
The 15-year-old explained that her lola was the one who raised her while her mother was working.

Since uploading her vlog last Monday, her video has already collected over 900,000 views.
Lyca launched her Youtube channel in 2019. She now has 572,000 subscribers on the video-sharing platform.
