Kapamilya teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and noontime program It’s Showtime lead the line-up of ABS-CBN shows returning to free TV via A2Z Channel 11.
On Tuesday, the broadcast giant announced some of its teleseryes, films and live entertainment shows will be aired on the newly rebranded A2Z on analog broadcast this week. This development comes three months after Congress’ denial of the network’s bid for a fresh 25-year franchise.
A2Z used to be Zoe Channel 11 of Zoe Broadcasting Network, Inc., which was founded by Bro. Eddie Villanueva.
In a statement from Zoe Broadcasting on Tuesday, it said that the “rebranded VHF channel will serve viewers with uplifting and inspiring shows of life, love and hope, educational programs, local and foreign movies, some of the best-loved ABS-CBN shows through a blocktime arrangement, and programs from licensors like Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN Asia), Knowledge Channel and others. Some of the programs on Zoe’s Light TV 33 will also air on A2Z.”
In a media release today, ABS-CBN bared the full list of shows that will be part of A2Z’s programming. This includes variety shows It’s Showtime which will air live on Saturday (October 10) and ASAP Natin ‘To on Sunday (October 11).
A2Z channel 11 will also have a marathon telecast of teleseryes FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin and Walang Hanggang Paalam this weekend (October 10 and 11) before the regular primetime run of their fresh episodes on weeknights starting Monday (October 12).
In the coming weeks, A2Z channel 11 will also air public service programs Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan and Iba ‘Yan.
Also returning to free TV are morning show Magandang Buhay, mystery game show I Can See Your Voice and “Asia’s longest-running drama anthology” MMK.
Aside from entertainment shows, movies and educational programs will start airing on the channel tomorrow (October 8).
According to the ABS-CBN statement, “A2Z channel 11 will be seen on analog TV in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. It will also be available on cable and satellite TV operators nationwide.
“ABS-CBN shows continue to be seen on cable and satellite TV via Kapamilya Channel, online via iWant TFC and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook, and globally through our cable TV and satellite partners.”
