In a recent YouTube vlog, Kapamilya artist Gerald Anderson surprised his mom with a new pickup truck.
In the video uploaded on August 3, the actor shared his mother Evangeline Opsima’s reaction to seeing her son’s special gift.
Gerald explained that his mother has been requesting a vehicle for some time now. Despite the current events unfolding such as the pandemic, lockdown and his home network’s shutdown, he said he gave in to his mother’s request since she is the source of his motivation.
“Yung nanay ko ay isa sa pinaka motivation ko para mas pag butihan ang trabaho. Yung konting request niya binigay natin. Sana makapag bigay ng konti saya ito, konting sorpresa para sa kanya,” he said.
The A Soldier’s Heart star was not personally able to give his mother his gift but he made sure he had his mom’s reaction caught on camera.
At first, Evangeline was suspicious when she saw the bouquet of flowers but upon seeing the pickup truck, she immediately knew that it was her son’s gift for her.
“I know you don’t have money. You don’t have big income yet because ABS-CBN is closed,” she said as she turned emotional.
Mommy Evangeline said she only wanted a multicab but she is still thankful her son opted for the pickup truck.
“I really appreciate it. I love you, son,” she said.
In a past Instagram post, Gerald shared that he has dedicated his life to making sure he makes up for what his mother has given him.
“She gave me life.. So I dedicate my life to making sure i make up for everything she has done for me.. She is not perfect, just like me or anyone walking this planet.. But we only have one mama.. So i Go Hard every day for her,” he wrote.
