Rising P-pop girl group KAIA is gaining momentum globally after their powerful live rendition of HUNTR/X’s “Take Down” went viral online, earning praise from fans and international netizens alike.
The five-member group, composed of Charice, Sophia, Angela, Alexa and Charlotte, recently performed at Backyard Live, a live performance platform known for showcasing intimate sets from established and emerging Filipino artists.
During their appearance, KAIA performed their tracks “YOU DID IT” and “TANGA,” alongside a cover of “Take Down,” a song by fictional girl group HUNTR/X from the award-winning animated film “KPop Demon Hunters.”
A clip of the KAIA’s performance quickly gained traction on X, drawing praise not only from local fans but also from international audiences, particularly in Thailand.

Following the viral moment, the members took to social media to express gratitude for the overwhelming support.

Charlotte also reflected on the milestone, posting: “We used to pray for times like this. Maraming salamat po!”
Sophia, meanwhile, acknowledged Backyard Live for supporting the group throughout their journey.
“It’s so amazing na narerecognize kami because of this performance, and we’re bringing Backyard Live along in this moment,” she wrote.
“You guys probably don’t know, pero Backyard Live has been with us since we started — from live events, music videos, etc. Lagi ’yan sila naniwala sa’min, so THANK YOU!”
