Actress Ruffa Gutierrez recently exchanged heartfelt messages with her former partners, Yilmaz Bektaş and Herbert Bautista.
In a touching Instagram post, Bektaş expressed his gratitude to Ruffa for her dedication as a mother to their eldest daughter, Lorin Gutierrez, who recently graduated from college.
Just weeks ago, Ruffa proudly celebrated Lorin’s milestone after she earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising from Pepperdine University.
“To the respected mother of my beautiful daughter, Sharmina Ruffa Gutiérrez, who raised her with love, devotion, and great sacrifice to become the wonderful person she is today, I sincerely thank you for everything and carry endless gratitude in my heart,” Bektaş wrote.
The Turkish businessman also shared throwback photos of the former couple, including moments from their wedding and Lorin’s childhood, alongside another heartfelt message.
“Endless gratitude for everything you have given, every sacrifice you made, and every beautiful memory you left behind,” he added.
Ruffa later reposted Yilmaz’s tribute online, admitting that his words made her emotional.
“You really have a unique way of making me cry, Yilmaz,” she began.
She went on to thank her ex-husband for recognizing the sacrifices she made in raising their daughters, Lorin and Venice Bektas.
“Thank you for recognizing the years of love, strength, and sacrifice that went into raising our daughters. No matter where life has taken us, Lorin and Venice will always remain our greatest blessings,” Gutierrez wrote.
“And hearing those words of gratitude from you means more than you know. Through every season since the day we met 26 years ago today in Cannes, I simply chose love for our children, and I would do it all over again,” she added.
“Thank you for honoring my journey in raising Lorin and Venice with kindness, sincerity, and respect.”
Gutierrez and Bektaş tied the knot in 2003 before separating in 2007. Their annulment was granted in February 2012.
Meanwhile, Ruffa also recently posted a heartfelt birthday greeting for her ex-partner, Herbert Bautista, who turned 58 on Tuesday, May 12.
“Happy birthday to my mentor, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista. Wishing you continued success, happiness, and all the best always,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Life may have taken us on different paths, but I’ll forever be grateful for the memories, the respect, and the friendship we continue to share. You taught me so much during the time we had together. Have the best day ever!”
Ruffa confirmed her relationship with Bautista in June 2024, but a year later revealed that they were going through a rough patch and were no longer on speaking terms. Her recent birthday message, however, appeared to hint that the two have since ended their romantic relationship while maintaining mutual respect and friendship.
