Ini-reveal ng TV personality na si Issa Pressman na nag-message siya sa aktres na si Nadine Lustre bago nila isinapubliko ang kanilang relasyon ng aktor at singer na si James Reid.
Sa isang interview kay Issa sa vlog ng broadcast journalist na si Karen Davila, nabanggit ni Issa ang patungkol sa “biggest challenge” sa kanilang relasyon ni James.

“When I met the biggest love that I’ve met in my life came the biggest challenge. Actually, before we went out in public, I messaged Nadine pa,” wika ni Issa.
“And then of course, like out of respect for them, I told her I was like, ‘We started dating and I really want to see where this is going to go,’” saad niya.
“And then she was so kind of saying, ’Good morning. To be honest, that’s been a lifetime ago but I appreciate you telling me. I wish you guys the best of luck,’” wika nito.
Matapos umanong makatanggap ng reply mula kay Nadine, nagdesisyon na sina Issa at James na lumabas nang magkasama in public.
“From then okay everything’s clear, everything’s good, ‘Let’s go out in public na.’ And so we did. We went to a Harry Styles concert, kasi we’re so casual, nothing naman to hide,” dagdag pa niya.
On experiencing cyberbullying from netizens
Ngunit ayon kay Issa, matapos nilang lumabas in public ni James, dito na nagsimula niyang ma-experience ang malalang cyberbullying mula sa mga netizens.
“Suddenly, all the bashing came again. First, it was like online. Lahat ng mga accusations nila nung 2020, bumalik,” pahayag ni Issa.
Ayon sa kanya, tinatawag siya umano ng mga netizens na “ahas,” “mang-aagaw,” at “third party.”
“It became so intense that I was able to close my comment section, tapos I started blocking accounts para they don’t get to me,” wika niya.
Kaugnay nito, sinabi rin ni Issa na nagsimula nang maapektuhan ang kanyang trabaho at businesses dahil sa bashing na kanyang nakuha mula sa mga netizens.
“As soon as brand posts about me, du’n naman nila ibabash. It affected my work, and I had lost brands, contracts… I was getting hit financially. Lahat ng income ko, bumaba na. At the same time, unfortunately, all the businesses that we open during the pandemic were closing,” pagbabahagi niya.
Sa kabila nito, ibinahagi rin ni Issa sa naturang interview kung paano nila kinaharap ni James ang mga challenges sa kanilang relationship.
“I gave up so many times. I tried to leave [him] so many times… But like, he really never left. No matter how ugly it got, it made us so much stronger,” pagbabahagi ni Issa.
“Like the more they pulled us apart, the closer we got. And then the more they tried to like break us up, the more we fell in love with each other,” wika niya.
“Because we saw each other’s like all of our ugliest truths, you know, all of our ugliest versions,” dagdag pa niya.
