Just three weeks left in the season, Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Celebrity Collab Edition has announced a new twist involving previously evicted housemates returning to the show as “Duo House Challengers”.
The twist was unveiled Sunday night, June 15, a day after the show’s sixth eviction night which saw the exit of the duo Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman, also known as “ShuKla”, that shocked many of their fans.
On the show’s social media pages, photos and videos teased mysterious figures cloaked in black outside the house’s entrance.
“The twist is here! Narito na ang Duo Challengers sa Bahay ni Kuya!” its caption read. “The Duo Challengers have arrived… and they’re not here to play.”
Alongside ShuKla, it was later confirmed that ex-housemates Xyriel Manabat, Vince Maristela, Michael Sager, Emilio Daez, Kira Balinger, Josh Ford, AC Bonifacio, and Ashley Ortega, are all set to join the competition with undisclosed roles and tasks.
The house challengers’ re-entry is expected to shake up the remaining weeks of the season, with speculation building that their missions could directly impact the standing of the final housemates as the competition heads toward its final stretch — now with familiar faces back in the mix.
The five duos still in the running are RaWi (Ralph De Leon and Will Ashley), DusBi (Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera), BreKa (Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca), CharEs (Charlie Fleming and Esnyr), and AZVer (AZ Martinez and River Joseph).
