The moment took place on the Kapamilya talent show’s 14th episode where a 19-year-old contestant named Esay Belanio showed the set of judges, Kathryn, Donny Pangilinan, Eugene Domingo, and Freddie “FMG” Garcia, an electrifying performance with her guitar and powerful vocals
After judges Domingo and Pangilinan gave their praises to the young singer, the latter playfully urged Bernardo to ask about the title of the song she covered.
When Esay replied, “Nagloko Ka Rin Naman,” Kathryn was caught on camera rolling her eyes—an expression that sent the studio into laughter and quickly made waves on social media.
The moment was sealed with a high note as Donny hit the golden buzzer, sending Esay straight to the live semi-finals and skipping the Judges’ Cut round entirely.
The spliced video of the exchange, shared by a fan of the actress on X, has since gained over 30,000 likes and more than 3,000 shares on the platform.
This isn’t the first time the actress made headlines during the show. In a previous episode, Kathryn trended when judges pointed out a contestant who bore a resemblance to her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.
