Proud mom ang aktres na si Dimples Romana sa kanyang anak na si Callie Ahmee makaraang magtapos ito sa kursong Bachelor of Business and Enterprise, Major in Aviation Management sa Southern Cross University sa Gold Coast, Australia.
Sa isang Instagram post, nag-alay si Dimples ng heartwarming congratulatory message para sa kanyang panganay na anak.
“A young Filipina woman pursuing a career in a male-dominated field, doing it, making it. […] For every doubt thrown at you ate, you let them speak. You did not say anything back, instead you focused on your lane, worked harder on your goals and made sure to let your years of hard work and dedication speak for you. You didn’t stop, you kept moving forward, you kept showing up,” mensahe ni Dimples sa kanyang anak.
“And the journey that led up to this moment may not have been easy but nothing worth having ever really is. Today, you have proven to them ate, to us and most importantly to yourself, that it can be done. That it is possible to have little and grow it to what could be the biggest achievement of our family and our home. You showed everyone that this family may work its hardest and fight its toughest battles together but without God’s grace, none of this would’ve been possible. You made this miracle happen. You did this ate,” dagdag pa nito.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ng aktres na worth it ang mga sacrifices na kanilang ginawa ng kanyang asawa na si Boyet Ahmee upang makapagtapos ang kanilang anak.
“[Boyet Ahmee] and I work hard, as a team, to make sure the kids have enough, not everything, but enough. Education, food, shelter, water, a family, a home. A bit of play and fun here and there. Adventures and misadventures. It was not easy letting Callie go then, it isn’t easy now. But as we were looking over to see Ate [Callie Ahmee] inally graduating from college yesterday, living on her own here in Australia for a little over three years now, everything became worth it,” saad ni Dimples.
Sa edad na 21 years old, mayroon nang Private Pilot License (PPL) at Commercial Pilot License (CPL) si Callie. Maliban pa rito, IR (Instrument rating) rated pilot na rin siya.
Kaugnay nito, ibinahagi naman ni Dimples ang kanyang experience mula sa kanilang first ever flight kasama ang kanyang pilot daughter.
“No family is perfect, we all have quirks and irks, but in all of our glorious flawedness, one thing we don’t ever fail to do is to love all of our light and all of our darkness too. And in all this, we hold our very family’s secret strength, the unica who flies through it all and brings us back to where we all belong- HOME. We’re growing with you ate [Callie].
