Sam Milby has addressed the viral video of his ex-fiancée, Catriona Gray, who turned visibly emotional during a concert.

It can be recalled that a video of the beauty queen previously went viral where she was seen crying during TJ Monterde’s performance of “Hanggang Dito Na Lang” at his Big Dome concert last month.

In an interview on Monday’s episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the hunk actor revealed that he was aware that Catriona would also be attending the concert. The ex-couple was seated just a few seats apart.

“TJ… first off, I didn’t know that his songs were like that. It was such a beautiful concert, but it was really hard,” Sam admitted.

He went on to express the difficulty of witnessing someone he still deeply cares about in tears.

“A woman that I still love and care about—I see just a few seats away from me—is crying,” he said. “I didn’t know how to react.”

While some assumed that Sam had already moved on because he remained composed during the event, he clarified that he was struggling emotionally.

“If people thought I was comfortable, I was the complete opposite. I was not comfortable during that concert,” he addressed speculations.

“It was a beautiful concert that should be celebrated. My best friend, John Prats, was directing it. But it was a hard situation, and I was kind of frozen at the time. It wasn’t easy at all,” added Milby.

During the interview, Milby also admitted that he has been having a difficult time dealing with the breakup. He, however, refrained from sharing further details about their split.

Sam and Catriona confirmed their relationship in 2020 and got engaged in 2023.

A year later, the actor confirmed that they had ended their relationship, confirming rumors about their engagement being called off after netizens spotted that some of their engagement photos have been removed on the beauty queen’s Instagram account.
