Ian Veneracion is one proud dad to his daughter Deirdre, expressing his support for her gender expression to celebrate Pride month.
The celebrity dad took to social media to commend his daughter for her kindness and subtly addressed critics who are quick to judge people based on their sexual preferences.
Ian wrote, “Seriously […] People should be honored and respected for their compassion, courage, and integrity—not for the choices they make in the privacy of their bedrooms.”
Expressing his pride, Ian concluded, “Proud of my daughter for embodying these values. Who she loves is her business.”
Many followers agreed with Ian, sharing supportive sentiments, including LGBT personality Mela Hajiban.

In 2020, Ian revealed that Deirdre came out as a lesbian at the age of 16, a revelation he fully supported.
He recounted telling her, “Just don’t ever be apologetic about it, not even to me. You can be whoever you want to be, and I have full support.”
Aside from Deirdre, Ian has two sons with his non-showbiz wife Pam Gallardo, who have also been supportive of their daughter’s sexual orientation.
