The long wait is officially over for JM De Guzman as Donnalyn Bartolome has finally accepted his invitation for a “not-so-friendly date”!
The Kapamilya actor expressed his excitement to share the delightful news on his Instagram page, which included snippets of their date from his recent vlog.
“Pumayag na siya. Matagal ko hinintay itong araw na ‘to,” JM began in the caption of his IG reel.
In JM’s vlog, the two can be seen enjoying each other’s company on a yacht where they watched the sunset and had a romantic dinner on board.
According to the actor, he had been asking the celebrity vlogger on a date since last year, and finally received a yes with the help of a certain “challenge”.
“Ilang beses ko na syang tinanong tungkol sa date na ‘to simula Mayo 2022 pa lang. Hindi ang sagot niya. [S]inubukan ko sa ‘Can’t Say No Challenge…'”, De Guzman said.
He added, “Can’t say no, pero nag-no pa rin siya. Kung pagkakaibigan lang ang kaya niyang ibigay sakin, kuntento na ako, makasama ko lang siya.”
Despite the rejection, JM was determined to pursue Donnalyn.
“Ay hindi, liligawan ko siya. Niligawan ko siya. Dalawa ako ng dalaw, baka sakaling dumating ang araw na pumayag na siya. Lumipas ang isang taon at dalawang buwan, Hunyo 2023,” he shared.
In the comments, Donnalyn praised the actor’s “patience” with a lighthearted joke, saying, “Alam mo.. hindi ako hospital pero patient ka.”
JM admitted to having feelings for Donnalyn back in October 2022. The two have since released more vlogs together including Baguio Adventure and 7 Minutes in Heaven Challenge.
