JM De Guzman received reassuring words from fellow celebrities after he aired dismay over netizens’ unsolicited comments about his supposed weight gain.
The actor recently shared a series of screenshots showing comments from online users seemingly criticizing his figure.
“Masakit kayo magsalita,” JM wrote as caption with ironically including a smiley face emoji.
Meanwhile, in a now-deleted Facebook post, JM noted, “Stop body-shaming”.
While fans filled his comments section with love and support, JM’s showbiz colleagues also showered the actor with comforting words and asked him to ignore the spiteful comments.
“Yer perferct bro!! F*ck em,” said JM’s best friend, Arci Muñoz.
John Arcilla also remarked, “Whew. Ibang klase. How can people be so mean. Kala nila nasa sarili lang nila silang mga kwarto at nakikipagkwentuhan sa mga barkada nila habang namumulutan ng ibang tao. These people are not happy people, that’s for sure.”
“You are such an amazing actor. Your mastery of craft is what matters. Learn to ignore,” Tim Yap stated.
JM currently stars alongside Kim Chiu and Paolo Avelino in the ABS-CBN series Linlang.
