Jak Roberto is proving he’s the “master” of the “anti-silos class” as he reiterated that he never got jealous over girlfriend Barbie Forteza and David Licauco’s successful loveteam.
The Kapuso actor once again made this clear in a recent interview on “Fast Talk” with TV host Boy Abunda.
“Hindi po ako nagseselos, Tito Boy. Mula’t mula po,” said Jak.
“I think kaya siguro nagkataon talaga na naging professor ako ng ‘Anti-Selos’ class,” he added in jest.
Abunda then asked if Barbie is rather the jealous type of a girlfriend.
“Siya po hindi din. Kasi sa’min Tito Boy parang sabi ko nga siguro kaya nagkataon na parehas kaming artista kasi I think kung parang non-showbiz or hindi related sa showbiz ‘yung magiging karelasyon namin, ang hirap talaga ipaintindi.
“So for me, sa karanasan ko na ‘yung girlfriend ko artista, ako rin as boyfriend niya artista, naiintindihan namin ‘yung work namin,” said Jak.
The actor, however, admitted he feels saddened over how some fans seem to go over the top in disregarding the boundaries between the artists’ personal and work lives.
“Kasi may mga comments na ano, parang, pinepersonal na. Kung minsan, nakakapagsabi na ng mga hindi na magandang salita,” he said.
“Pero ako as artista, alam ko ‘tong ginagalawan kong mundo, at alam kong public figure po ako, naiintindihan ko po lahat ‘yon,” explained Jak.
Jak had earlier said that instead of feeling jealous over Barbie and David’s team up known as BarDa, he is more supportive of the two.
“I’m thankful na successful silang dalawa and maganda yung pagtanggap ng tao sa loveteam ng BarDa, at ako rin sumusuporta ako sa dalawa,” the Kapuso actor revealed during an interview with Pep at the GMA Gala 2023.
“So walang selos selos?” the reporter asked.
“Wala, pro (professional) lang tayo. Trabaho lang,” Jak said, smiling.
Jak also laughed off netizens’ reaction to his stance on Barbie and David’s successful teamup.
“Yung mga tao na ‘yung nagre-react for me, sila ‘yung mas affected. Sobrang touched naman ako, ang daming nagmamahal sa’kin so guys, I love you,” the actor said in jest.
The Kapuso actor also stressed that he and Barbie are supportive of each other’s projects and achievements.
Barbie, on the other hand, previously stated that her love team with David is just “business partnership”.
Jak and Barbie, who were each other’s dates during the event but chose to walk the red carpet solo, have been on a six-year strong relationship.
The “anti-silos class at Jak Roberto University” meme has been going around the internet as netizens admire at Jak for being “unbothered” and poke fun at how they wish to learn how to be as understanding and supportive as the actor.
