Rita Daniela has revealed that she and her non-showbiz partner have separated ways after four years of being together.
In an interview with Boy Abunda during an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Thursday, June 15, the 27-year-old singer-actress confirmed the rumors that she has broken up with the father of her six-month-old baby Uno, after being asked about the status of their relationship.
“Yes, Tito Boy. Naghiwalay na po kami nung tatay ni Uno,” Rita revealed.
“We really tried our best just like everybody else but it didn’t work out,” she added.
Despite their separation, she reiterated that their love for their son will not be affected. In fact, Rita said that they separated on good terms and will remain friends.
“Ang maganda, Tito Boy, kasi we’re good friends, e—very, very good,” she said. “We’re doing our very best to co-parent Uno.”
“I’m actually proud of ourselves, kaming dalawa, kasi hangga’t maaga inaayos na namin siya. Para pag lumaki na si Uno, alam mo po yun, peaceful po kami and we can still be a family na wala na pong issue-issue sa both sides,” Rita said on the current state of her relationship with her ex-partner.
When asked if she was ready to fall in love again, Rita answered, “Definitely, yes.”
“Of course it’s still one of my dreams to be, you know, na maglakad na may wedding gown,” she added.
She pointed out that while it’s “one of her dreams” to find someone to marry, opening her heart to someone new will take time.
“But now, not yet,” Rita said. “Because right now, my focus is to be a better person and to be the best mom to Uno.”
Speculations about Rita and her ex-boyfriend’s split sparked in early September 2022.
The actress denied claims saying she wanted to keep the identity of her former partner private and keep parts of her personal life to herself in an interview for GMA Network’s news program 24 Oras in June of last year.
Rita announced the pregnancy of her first child last year. She gave birth to Baby Uno in December, a few days before Christmas.
