Fellow Eat Bulaga hosts comforted the iconic trio of Tito, Vic and Joey after they emotionally announced they were parting ways with the noontime show’s producer TAPE, Inc. on Wednesday.
“Dabarkads” hosts Allan K, Maine Medoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, and Ryzza Mae Dizon could be seen hugging TVJ, who expressed their gratitude to their avid fans and viewers, and those who became a part of Eat Bulaga in the past 43 years.
The Eat Bulaga hosts were not allowed by the “new management” to broadcast their departure live on GMA. Instead, they spoke through their official YouTube channel and Facebook account.
“Simula ngayong araw, May 31, 2023, kami po ay magpapaalam na sa TAPE, Inc. Karangalan po namin na kami’y nakapaghatid ng tuwa’t saya mula Batanes hanggang Jolo, at naging bahagi ng buhay ninyo. Maraming maraming salamat sa inyong lahat,” said Vic in the May 31 episode of Eat Bulaga aired on Facebook and YouTube.
“Saan man kami dalhin ng tadhana, tuloy ang ng isang libo’t isang tuwa,” he added, seemingly holding back his tears before raising his fist.
Following the abrupt announcement of their exit from TAPE, Inc, fellow Dabarkads hosts comforted Tito, Vic, and Joey, each giving the trio a hug.
“We love you,” said Vic, throwing a flying kiss to the audience before they made their way backstage.
Joey, meanwhile, made clear in an Instagram post that they are not signing off but just taking a “day off”.
