Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip recalled apologizing to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray during their first meeting.
To recall, the Thai JKN Global Group CEO first met the beauty queen after sharing the stage at the “Miss Universe Extravaganza” in November 2022.
Anne is currently in the country to grace the upcoming coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 on Saturday, May 13.
During her guesting in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, TV host Boy Abunda brought up Anne’s interaction with Catriona that intrigued pageant fans and netizens, and asked what they were talking about.
“There was a particular scene on stage where you were seen by people standing and you were holding hands with Catriona Gray and people were speculating because what are they talking about and you were conversing, you’re talking to each other. I wanna ask Miss Anne today, what was that about,” said Abunda.
“Give me the crown!” Anne responded in jest, eliciting laughter from the TV host.
“I respect her so much and it was the first time that we came across each other,” she added in a serious tone.
She continued, “Sincerely, I just talked to her. ‘I am Anne Jakrajutatip and I come here and say I do apologize, whatever happened in the past, but I’m so glad you’re here in Thailand. Welcome to the family of JKN and also Miss Universe Organization. I love you my dear from the bottom of my heart’.”
When prodded why she apologized, Anne laughingly replied, “Of course, I don’t have to answer!”
“I just want to get it out from my chest… I just need to do it. From now on, we have to work together so just put the past aside and don’t talk, don’t mention it at all,” she continued.
Anne previously made buzz with Clint Bondad, Catriona’s ex-boyfriend, after they were romantically linked following the former couple’s split in 2019.
Anne, at the time, revealed that Clint lived with her for several months but clarified that she treated him as a brother.
