Kapuso artist Aicelle Santos took to social media to announce the passing of her mother Leonila Santos.
The singer-songwriter broke the news to her friends and fans on Instagram through a touching post featuring a butterfly.
“I know this is you, Ma. Fly free now. Mahal na mahal po kita,” she wrote.
Days after her post, she shared a snap of her and her mother from her wedding day.
Her caption read: “I love you so much, Ma.”
It was just in September when Aicelle asked for support on social media as she shared her mother has yet to regain consciousness since suffering a cardiac arrest in August.
