Liza Soberano just made her first-ever appearance on a television show in South Korea and it seems that she’s starting to make a mark in the country.
The Filipino-American actress guested on the Korean variety show Not Hocance But Scance as seen in a YouTube video uploaded by MBN Entertainment on Monday, July 26.
“I just wanted to say hi, I’m a huge fan,” said Liza as she introduced herself to the show’s hosts Soyou, Kang Ji-young, Ye Ji-won and Nicole Jung, and joined them over a barbeque dinner.
During their conversation, Liza got to share why she was visiting the country.
“I’m here for a kind of vacation, kind of work. I’m just exploring Seoul and I’m a huge fan of K-pop and K-drama so I want to try to find work here,” said Liza.
The 24-year-old also related how she grew fond of Korea since she was 11 years years old, noting that she would look up Korean shows to understand the culture.
“It started with K-pop, then I started watching dramas like Boys Over Flowers and stuff,” Liza stated.
Liza’s beauty also got complimented by the hosts who took notice of her resemblance to English actress Olivia Hussey.
“A lot of people say that. Thank you,” Liza said as the hosts told her she’s beautiful or yeppeuda in Korean language.
Liza has been delighting fans with her unexpected interactions with K-pop idols such as Kim Donghyuk of iKON, Hoony of Winner, and most recently with Yujin of IVE.
The actress is currently in South Korea with her Careless Music labelmates James Reid and Issa Pressman.
