Kris Aquino was upfront with her supporters when she bore the truth about her current health condition.
The television host revealed that since the end of April, her illness was already classified as “life threatening”.
On a social media post, Kris revealed that she is now dealing with three confirmed autoimmune conditions – chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and vasculitis.
Chronic spontaneous urticaria is the medical term for “hives that are chronic (lasting six weeks or more, three to four times per week), and spontaneous (with no known trigger),” according to WebMD.
Autoimmune thyroiditis is the condition where your thyroid becomes inflamed, making “antibodies attack the thyroid by mistake.”
Kris explained that her recently confirmed illness, vasculitis, is a late stage three of Churg-Strauss syndrome, a disease that causes inflammation of blood vessels.
She shared that her doctors from different hospitals are worried about the damage in her heart and lungs, which is why she and her team are trying to travel to Houston, Texas to receive treatment.
“Yung gamot that God willing can help save me doesn’t have FDA approval here or in Singapore and isasabay na po mag infuse ng chemotherapy as my immunosuppressant. Why? Allergic po ako sa lahat ng steroids,” she added.
For the sake of her two sons, she has asked netizens to avoid posting rude comments on her social media pages.
“Hindi nyo po ako kailangan gustuhin para magpakatao… please don’t punish kuya & bimb for being my sons. Hindi po masama ang maglakas ng loob at magsabi ng sobrang bigat na katotohanan,” she ended her post.
