Michael V. highly recommended to fans the recently released The Batman movie as he praised Robert Pattinson for doing a “great job” as the new Caped Crusader.
The actor-comedian shared his thoughts on DC Comics’ American superhero film in a lengthy and thorough review on an Instagram post.
“The movie is very grounded. Very commendable effort to make it realistic. Even Batman’s ‘gadgets’ will pass as believable to a certain degree,” he started.
Bitoy, as he is fondly known in the showbiz industry, shared that the film is not the usual superhero movie that viewers are accustomed to.
“The movie highlights the ‘detective’ aspects of the Dark Knight. Mafi-feel mo rin ‘yung pagiging newbie ni Bruce Wayne as a crime fighter all throughout the movie. Grabe ‘yung overall mood! Mararamdaman mo talaga yung ‘bigat’ sa lighting, sa production design, pati sa music,” he said.
He then recounted the times he read Frank Miller comic books and how he has always dreamed of the stories coming to life on film.
“The movie is very engaging! Maraming salitaan pero hindi ko mabitawan. Hindi ka rin maliligaw sa storytelling.
“Highly recommended especially sa fans ng character. It’s a great start to what I hope would be, at least another trilogy,” he said.
The 52-year-old also praised Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson for taking on the role of the iconic superhero.
He wrote: “Great job Battinson! Sana lang next movie, magpagupit na si Bruce Wayne.”
On past Instagram post where Bitoy rejoiced over finally watching a movie in the cinema, he reminded moviegoers to observe safety protocols at all times.
“Watching movies in cinemas is something that we all took for granted before the pandemic at kagaya ng marami sa inyo, my family and I missed it a lot! Sana mag-ingat tayong lahat para ma-enjoy uli natin,” he said.
