JC de Vera made it to Twitter’s trending topic on Friday for his straightforward response to some BBM supporters’ reactions to photos of him doing the peace sign gesture.
The La Vida Lena star on Thursday shared via his Facebook page screenshots of him doing the V sign during his appearance as a celebrity judge on It’s Showtime’s Sexy Babe segment.
However, under the said uncaptioned Facebook post of JC, supposed supporters of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos commented if the actor was in support of the former senator’s candidacy.
Bongbong has been using the peace sign in his campaign, the famous gesture of his father, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
“BBM yarn lods?,” asked a netizen.
Another one commented: “BBM kana JC de Vera para mahalin kita lalo.”
“BBM SI LODI KO,” said another.
JC, meanwhile, left “nope” as replies to the comments.
The actor later indicated that he’s supporting Leni Robredo’s presidential bid, after reacting pink beating heart emoji to a Facebook user who commented a screenshot of an old Instagram story of him showing a photo of the vice president.
JC’s old Instagram story read: “She’s my president!!!”, alongside a “Let Leni Lead” sticker.
On Friday, JC shared a photo of him doing the finger heart sign, which Robredo has been using in her campaigns.
