Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo have asked for prayers as Typhoon Odette hit the latter’s hometown in Siargao on Thursday.
“No more signal sa isla. Please pray for my island home Siargao,” wrote Philmar alongside a series of Instagram stories showing clips of the island being battered by rains and strong winds brought about by Typhoon Odette.
Philmar also warned co-residents of a high tide and advised them to evacuate.
Andi and Philmar are currently in Makati with their kids Lilo and Koa, and Ellie.
In her Instagram story, Andi shared that their flight back home got canceled due to the super typhoon.
“Cancelled flight going home due to Super Typhoon Odette. Receiving updates about current damages happening in our home but also just very worried about our loved ones on the island,” said Andi.
The actress then asked for prayers for the safety of their loved ones and residents on the island, and has been sharing donation drives and relief mission posts for the typhoon victims.
Odette made landfall over Siargao island at t 1:30 p.m on Thursday.
State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) also placed the island under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.4.
