Kylie Padilla slammed veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin over claims she made against the actress amid the controversy surrounding her breakup with husband Aljur Abrenica.
Cristy recently stated in an episode of her digital talk show Cristy Feminute that a source told her of Kylie’s alleged infidelity, saying the actress would stay up late at night talking to someone over the phone.
“Kung natatandaan niyo po, lagi po nating pinag-uusapan noon ‘yung kwento ng aking source, na si Kylie po talaga ‘yung laging may kausap sa garden. Kahit na madaling araw, may kausap sa phone, bumababa siya. Kahit sa kusina, meron siyang kausap.
“Natural, hindi naman patay na lokohan si Aljur, ‘di ba? Lalaki ‘yan. Kung ang babae po ay malakas ang pakiramdam, ang tunog naman po ng lalaki, matibay,” shared Cristy.
The columnist also alleged that Kylie mistreated Aljur when they were still together and would not allow their housekeepers to prepare food for him.
“Ikinukuwento nung source na galing din sa kanila, umalis na nga lang sa kanila, na kapag dumarating daw si Aljur at magluluto ng pagkain ‘yung kanilang kasambahay, sasabihin, ‘Huwag ka nang magluto, hayaan mo siyang magutom. Hindi naman siya ang gumagastos dito sa bahay.
“‘Di ba?, napakasakit nun,” said Cristy.
In a now-deleted social media post, Kylie hit back at Cristy for the “false” accusations and for trying to ruin her image.
“Hi Cristy Fermin. Alam ko kung sino source mo. ‘Wag niyong hintayin magsalita ako tungkol sa inyo. Nagtitimpi ako para sa mga anak ko. Tignan niyo mga mali niyo sa sarili niyo bago kayo manghusga ng ibang tao. Ano bang makukuha niyo sa pagsisira sa’kin? GROW UP. Ang tatanda niyo na,” wrote Kylie in a Facebook post.
She added, “At sana kung sinisiraan niyo ako, totoo mga pinagsasabi niyo. Mahiya naman kayo sa mga sarili niyo.”
Aljur earlier challenged Kylie to tell the public the truth about the reason behind their separation, insinuating that the actress was the one “cheated first” and “wrecked” our family.
Kylie has not directly addressed Aljur’s scathing remarks, but has been sharing cryptic posts on her Instagram stories.
The actress also called for the passage of divorce law in a tweet.
A cousin of Kylie, meanwhile, called out Aljur for telling “lies” about her split with the actress, claiming that he cheated on her multiple times.
