Ruffa Gutierrez penned a lengthy and sweet birthday message for her firstborn Lorin as she celebrated her 18th birthday Tuesday, August 3.
The actress shared that her daughter is going through an exciting time in her life as she starts her career with talent management agency Viva Artists and is set to enter college.
“Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up. Savour your youth. Yes, you’re officially an adult, but that definition means being responsible with all aspects of your life,” she wrote.
She then advised her daughter not to get a boyfriend soon, among other important life lessons.
“And if you decide to have one 10 years from now, CHOOSE WISELY. Be with someone who respects you and is GOD FEARING. Don’t just follow your heart Lorin, use your brain,” she encouraged.
The proud mom shared snaps of Lorin looking fierce in an all-animal print getup in her Instagram post.
“Your family, @venicebektas and I will always be here for you throughout every facet of your life. We love you so much,” Ruffa ended.
Meanwhile, Lorin marked her 18th birthday with chic photos of her wearing a strappy bright orange dress.
The 18-year-old finally followed her family’s footsteps in showbiz back in May. On Instagram, Ruffa happily announced that it’s her firstborn’s time to shine.
