Iza Calzado is ready to go home after her COVID-19 retest result showed she is now negative for the virus, her talent manager said.
The 37-year-old actress’ manager Noel Ferrer announced the good news on Monday in a statement.
“It’s an amazing start of the week as we were just told that Iza can go home tomorrow after completing her IV antibiotics!” he said.
“Moreover, the good news is — Iza’s retest results came back and she is now negative for COVID.”
Ferrer thanked the support and prayers offered for Iza’s healing and recovery, as well as the medical health workers who cared for the actress and other people afflicted with the disease.
He said, “We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, love and support especially the doctors, nurses and all the health workers who continuously risk their lives to serve us all at this time.
“Let us continue to pray as Iza continues to heal and support others who are battling with the virus.
“Indeed, we pray and heal as one. To God Be The Glory!”
Ferrer did not say in the statement if Iza is already included or not in the official list of recoveries in the country.
As of March 30, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 128 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,546. DOH also reported seven new deaths with no new recoveries.

On March 28, Iza was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19. At the time of the confirmation, she was recovering well, being aggressively treated for pneumonia and already breathing without oxygen assistance. (READ: Iza Calzado tests positive for COVID-19.)
