After Agot Isidro sparked conversations on Jinkee Pacquiao’s controversial social media post of her luxury designer bicycles, the latter’s camp finally hit back at the actress for “judging” her post.
The actress’ tweet read: “Alam namin na marami kayong pera. At kung ano ang gusto ninyong gawin sa pera na yun, wala kaming pakialam. Pero marami rin ang walang trabaho at nagkukumahog humanap ng pera para may pakaiin sa kanilang pamilya. Pwede ba konting sensitivity man lang? #nouveau.”
Hours after the matter blew up on the internet, Jinkee took to Instagram with a cryptic post, which seemed like a response to Agot’s social media statement.
In Jinkee’s Instagram story, she posted a photo of a Bible passage, highlighting the biblical call not to judge others.
Arnold Vegafria, the business manager of the Pacquiao’s, took to social media to respond to Agot’s tweet, where she asked Jinkee for sensitivity.
On his Facebook page, Arnold said Jinkee’s posts on her Instagram page are not for anyone to judge.
“What she does with her family’s hard-earned money is none of our business, because such bountiful blessings are just the fruit of her husband’s esteemed legacy as an iconic Filipino boxing legend and businessman, and are not stained in any by graft or corruption,” he said.
He defended the mother of five, saying she worked her way up to become a businesswoman with several investments under her name.
Arnold added that Agot probably has no idea of how Senator Manny Pacquiao and his family helped the country during the height of the pandemic.
“And please be more discerning about your use of the word ‘nouveau’,” he said.
“The Pacquiaos have worked hard over the past decades to achieve their current standing in society, and despite their status, they have remained humble, low-key and generous to whoever asks for their help. Their fervent desire to serve their countrymen continues to inspire them to pursue higher education and excel in their public service endeavors,” he added.
