Ai-Ai bakes ‘Pan De Lee Min Ho’ amid backlash over comment on The King: Eternal Monarch

Ai-Ai Delas Alas shrugged off critics of her “honest opinion” on the Lee Min Ho starrer The King: Eternal Monarch by baking bread she named after the Korean superstar.

The comedienne-actress recently earned the ire of netizens, mostly K-drama fans, after she aired her dismay over the K-drama that’s streaming on Netflix, saying she cannot completely comprehend the plot.

Ai-Ai admitted to being a fan of Lee Min Ho, but the series, as far as she’s concerned, is “waley”.

Unfazed by the criticisms, the comedienne said that she is “turning negative into positive”.

“Naniniwala ako sa kasabihan (that) ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ … bilang idol ko talaga si lee min ho (kahit hindi ko gusto yung THE KING) gumawa talaga ako ng bread na nakapangalan for you… kung may pandilimon, ang martina’s may PANDE LEE MIN HO… (with ube and korteng L for lee ?),” she said, adding that she also plans on making Ube Pan De Lee Min Loaf next time.

With showbiz projects on hold amid the COVID-19 crisis, Ai-Ai decided to look for other ways of earning income. She launched Panadera Queen Bakery and has since been baking pastries and selling them online.
