Kris Aquino shared a candid message for her late brother and former president Noynoy Aquino a day after what could have been his 62nd birthday.
The host-actress started her social media post with an apology, expressing how his passing has changed her.
“I love you so much. I’m so sorry na hindi ko nasabi enough times when you were still here. I’m sorry for letting you down – but I know nakita mo how much your death has profoundly changed me,” she wrote.
She then apologized for falling short of humility on social media, especially how she handled her breakup with her fiancé, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Mel Sarmiento.
She explained: “Sorry sumablay lang kay Mel, kasi pumatol ako sa nag comment when should’ve just shut up. After I post this I’ll message him na all is forgiven and forgotten.”
Kris also expressed how happy she is now that her brother is up in heaven with their parents Benigno Aquino Jr. and Cory Aquino.
“Please habaan nyo pa yung bonding nyo? If Ate goes, you know how tight she and mom were. If it’s Pinky, everyday may ka debate na hindi takot awayin ka. Please not Viel, she’s super organized & that’s why all your pamangkins get their birthday & Christmas ‘hulog ng langit’.
“And if it’s me – you know naman… birthday mo so I’ll behave, di ko na sasabihin but I know you know what I mean,” she said.
The 50-year-old promised her older brother that she will be more like him and that his wishes are being fulfilled by her.
On her social media post, Kris teased her upcoming birthday tribute for Noynoy along with videos of her getting her blood drawn at home.
The Aquino sisters’ only brother passed away back in June of last year due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.
