Miss Universe Philippines second runner-up Michele Gumabao stepped up to the plate to provide meals for those who were affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

On Thursday, the volleyball star shared an Instagram photo of her setting up a 24/7 lugaw stand for displaced residents in Marikina, one of the worst-hit cities by the typhoon.

In the same post, she announced that her charity organization, Your 200 Pesos, is accepting donations. They were to distribute relief goods with the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Rektang Bayanihan Program.

The beauty queen happily shared that alongside the PNP, they were able to provide more than 5,000 meals for victims and frontliners of the typhoon.

“I salute our PNP, Army, Navy, Coastguard and all other Gov and NGO who are at the front lines of service! More than doing their jobs, they are also risking their lives and their health,” she wrote on Thursday.

Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año informed the public on Friday that the typhoon has left 14 dead, three missing and more than 345,000 in evacuation centers.
