BINI’s management has warned of possible legal action against an online user spreading fabricated messages impersonating member Gwen.
The issue drew concern from fans on X after an online user allegedly circulated fake screenshots that appeared to show the P-pop idol personally messaging them to take down a post about their past stint as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother.
Amid the circulating screenshots, BINI’s management released a statement on Tuesday, Oct. 27, clarifying that the messages attributed to Gwen were fabricated.
“There are screenshots circulating on X attributing private messages to Gwen. Please be aware that these are fake and were not sent by Gwen,” the group’s statement read.
The management also warned those responsible that fabricating and spreading false information could have legal consequences, urging the account owner to stop the activity and the public to refrain from sharing the fake messages.
“We remind those responsible that fabricating and spreading false information may have legal consequences. We urge the account owner to immediately stop this activity and ask the public not to share or spread these fabricated messages,” it added.
