Hollywood actress Margaret Qualley and musician-producer Jack Antonoff were recently hounded by rumors that they have reportedly ended their relationship after nearly three years of marriage
People Magazine, citing an unnamed source, reported that Qualley, 31, and Antonoff, 42, have separated, describing their relationship as currently “rocky.”
Another source told the publication that the couple is still “figuring things out.”
Speculation surrounding the pair’s relationship intensified after Antonoff attended the recent wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce in New York without Qualley. Instead, he was accompanied by his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.
However, on July 10, Margaret’s representative firmly denied the rumors, calling the circulating reports “categorically untrue.”
“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship,” the actress’ representative said in a statement as quoted by People.
They also emphasized that the couple remains committed to each other while urging the public to respect their privacy.
“They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy,” the statement concluded.
Despite the denial, People published another exclusive report on July 13, claiming that Qualley is choosing to focus on her career as speculation surrounding their marriage continues.
“She genuinely loves acting and gets excited about every new project,” the source told PEOPLE. “That’s always been a huge part of who she is. She’s the happiest when she’s working and right now, she’s just looking ahead and focusing on what’s next. She’s spent years building her career and she’s excited to keep doing what she loves.”
As of writing, Antonoff has yet to publicly comment on the split rumors.
The two are currently busy with separate professional commitments with Antonoff set to embark on a tour with his rock band Bleachers, while Qualley is in pre-production for the upcoming remake of the 1981 horror film “Possession”.
Margaret is best known for her performances in award-winning films “The Substance” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, as well as the Netflix limited series “Maid”.
Jack, meanwhile, is the frontman of the Bleachers and is widely regarded as one of the music industry’s most sought-after producers having worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Troye Sivan, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey.
Qualley and Antonoff first sparked romance rumors in 2021 before getting engaged the following year. The couple tied the knot in August 2023 during a star-studded ceremony in New Jersey.
