Mika Salamanca’s management team has addressed recent speculation involving her and fellow Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Will Ashley after private photos of them traveling together circulated online.
In a message sent to The Philippine Star entertainment editor Nathalie Tomada, Jan Enriquez of Aguila Entertainment (co-manager of Mika with GMA Sparkle) said that it was a simple vacation with friends, same as the earlier trip that Mika took with Brent Manalo and other friends that also went viral.
“Yes Mika went to HK with some friends that includes Will. Good friends naman kasi talaga yung dalawa so nothing wrong with going on a quick trip. Let’s give these kids a break, they work tirelessly halos everyday tapos gagawan pa ng false narratives online. Let’s start the year with kindness please wag puro nega.”
In a separate post by Jan, sharing fellow co-manager Katrina Aguila’s interview in a tabloid story that stated Mika is focused on work, not love life, he wrote: “I hope this suffices because there is really not much to say kasi ganun lang po kasimple ang kwento. Malinaw din na malisyoso at may masamang intensyon ang post na pinagmulan nito so let’s not give this person any power.
“Salamat sa pangunawa. Pasensya din sa mga nastress o nagalala.
“Rest assured, Mika is booked and busy. She is taping for her serye, she will soon release her first single, nashoot na rin namin ang music video nun, she will perform in her first ever music fest, we also shot a magazine cover that will come out soon, may movie offers din that we are currently reviewing.
“Mika is working so hard para may magandang maipakita sa mga supporter nya. Lets cut her some slack please and spread positivity instead.”
Meanwhile, in a separate statement released Tuesday, Jan. 13, Team Mika Official also expressed their support for Mika following the speculation surrounding her recent trip to Hong Kong, which became the subject of online discussion after photos from the getaway surfaced.
According to her fan groups, the circulating photos are real and that the trip was taken for personal reasons.
“The photos being shared are real. Mika took this trip to give herself a much-needed pause and time to rest after a series of overwhelming events,” the statement shared by several fanbases on X read.
The statement also addressed rumors linking the trip to romantic involvement between the former PBB housemates.
It explained that Will, whose presence with Mika fueled romantic speculation online, was not part of the original plan and only joined later, along with other friends. Mika’s family, the statement added, was fully aware of and supportive of the trip.
“For clarity, Will was not part of the original plan but later joined Mika, along with other friends. This break was taken with the full knowledge and support of Mika’s family,” the statement said.
The private photos were believed to have come from a private account and from people within Mika’s trusted circle.
Salamanca also expressed regret over any confusion the situation may have caused, issuing an apology to those who felt hurt or misled by the online speculation.
“Mika sincerely apologizes to anyone who may have felt hurt, confused, or affected — causing distress was never her intention,” the fan groups wrote on her behalf.
Her camp further appealed to the public to refrain from attaching malicious or hurtful allegations to the issue and to stop spreading speculation.
“We respectfully ask that Mika be excluded from any romantic narratives or speculative interpretations related to this matter,” the statement declared. “We hope this clarification helps put an end to misinformation and allows everyone involved the space, respect, and understanding they deserve.”
The statement also thanked fans who chose patience and understanding while her team took time to respond.
“Thank you for extending grace to Mika Salamanca and her official fan groups as we took the time to gather our thoughts and respond with care,” it said.
“During this challenging moment, we are deeply grateful to the fans who stood by her, remained steadfast, and chose understanding over noise.”
It ended with a message of gratitude to supporters who waited for clarity and a call for privacy as Mika moves forward from the issue.
“To those who stayed, who waited, and who trusted — maraming salamat po. We hope this statement brings clarity and closure, and we respectfully ask that Mika’s privacy continue to be honored as she moves forward with peace.”
