Singer‑couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde have donated ₱1 million to Angat Buhay to support victims of the recent typhoon devastation in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Their donation was made possible by the generosity of “kababayans” who contributed during TJ’s “Sarili Nating Mundo” events in Perth, Sydney, and New Zealand, combined with contributions from the Monterdes and their tour team, their label, Cornerstone Entertainment, shared in a Facebook post.
Although the funds were meant for both Visayas and Mindanao, the couple are focusing first on the Visayas, which was hit hardest by Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi). They plan to raise more funds for Mindanao later.
On its Facebook page, Angat Buhay reported relief operations for Typhoon Tino‑affected communities. For instance, volunteers delivered hot meals and food packs to Mayorga and Dulag, Leyte.
As of 8 November 2025, the official death toll from Typhoon Tino has risen to 224, with 135 missing across the Visayas and parts of Mindanao.
