Opera star Andrea Bocelli to perform in empty Milan cathedral on Easter Sunday

Italian Opera singer Andrea Bocelli will be performing live at the empty Milan Cathedral on Easter Sunday. His live performance will be available on YouTube on April 12, U.K. time.

The global music icon’s solo performance is a message of love, healing and hope to Italy and the world.

In a report by the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, Bocelli said his performance is not a concert but rather an occasion to pray together.

Italy is one of the worst-hit countries of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. Its death toll has surpassed that of China, where the virus reportedly originated.
