John Arcilla took to social media to announce the passing of his father, Dominador Alemania Arcilla.
The Heneral Luna actor said that his father’s death is not related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). However, he and his grieving family will be unable to see their father’s body one last time in Baler, Aurora because of the enhanced community quarantine.
“I do not feel good announcing the passing of someone very dear to me. But the feeling of not seeing even his body for the last time while we’re just here 5 hours away from him, isn’t easy to handle,” he said.
He added that because of the situation, their family is unable to hold a mass or wake. Their other option was to have the body cremated but Baler does not have any crematoriums and travel permits are complicated at this time.
He said most of the family members are already based in Metro Manila.
“So my father’s body will just stay in a Funeral Chapel for two days without the wake and will be buried with restricted attendance of people the next day,” he lamented.
“I do not blame anyone for the situation. My sense of judgement and reasons fully understood the consequences. I just need to express something that it is too much to bear. Please pray for our family most specially for my beloved father Dominador Alemania Arcilla,” he ended.
