After finding out some doctors were asking for encouragement videos, Yeng Constantino was quick to upload a newly-written song dedicated to the country’s frontliners on Instagram.
“Gusto gusto ko pong gumawa ng video pero sa totoo lang po nahihiya ako. Dahil baka imbes na ma-encourage ko po kayo eh mainis kayo sakin dahil sa mistake na nagawa ko last year,” she admitted.
In July 2019, the singer received backlash for “shaming” a doctor after she claimed her husband was not attended to properly after a cliff diving accident in Siargao.
Yeng evaded arrest by posting bail for the cyberlibel charges filed by the Regional Trial Court of Dapa, Surigao Del Norte.
“Patawad po. Sa kinakaharap po natin ngayon mas nakita ko pa na di matatawaran ang puso niya sa pagtulong. Dahil ito po ang inyong piniling propesyon kahit nakakatakot hinaharap nyo po ang pagsubok na ito. Maraming maraming salamat po. Naiintindihan ko po kung bakit marami sainyo ang sumama ang loob sakin,” she said.
She added that while she was reflecting on these sentiments, she was able to write a new song, Kumapit.
