Ria Atayde has sought the help of her followers on Twitter in identifying a netizen who has been harassing and sending her death threats on social media.
“Please help me find the person who owns this account. No one should ever wish someone death. This isn’t something I will take lightly,” she wrote on Twitter.
The actress attached screenshots of the messages from the netizen who asked her to stay away from her idol, JM De Guzman.
In one of the screenshots, the anonymous individual called her mean names among other hateful words and wished for the death of the 28-year-old.
After receiving comforting words from her fans, Ria assured them that she is doing well emotionally.
“Di lang kasi tama yung ganun. May hangganan din Dapat ang pambabash. Bata pa ako at 28. Ayoko pa mamatay pls. Don’t wish that upon me. Pero Salamat sa pagmamahal at pag reassure. I appreciate it,” she said.
Her other fans suggested that she ask for help from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime group to trace the account.
In a past interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda, Ria clarified that she’s friends with the actor but she’s open to leveling it up.
“Friends pa rin talaga, with mutual respect. I guess, yung alam mong pwede talaga,” she said.
