This taho vendor is helping in his own little way the frontliners in the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country.
Netizens lauded Mang Boyong, a longtime taho vendor who was spotted giving away free taho to people stationed at the checkpoint area in the Valenzuela-Meycauayan boundary early Friday morning.
News5 Aksyon reported that Mang Boyong has been selling taho for 27 years already.
Mang Boyong shared that he thought of giving away his product for free to the frontliners on duty so they could at least recover their strength from their long shifts and sleepless nights.
Mang Boyong’s kind gesture landed him a spot among Twitter’s trending topics on Friday.
“Hats off to Mang Boyong. No one is too poor that he has nothing to give,” a netizen commented.
Another one said: “No act is too small. Thank you, Mang Boyong!”
“Mang Boyong is an ordinary Filipino and he’s helping our frontliners,” said another netizen.
