For the first time in one and half years, Catriona Gray is finally on her way to reunite with her family back in Australia.
On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2018 turned emotional when she shared her sentiments on flying back to Australia since the pandemic began.
“After countless rescheduled flights, two flight cancelations, swab tests, stress, applications and waiting… I’m finally on my way to see my parents for the first time in one and a half years,” she wrote.
The Filipina-Aussie beauty shared a vow she made to herself when she won Miss Universe way back in 2018. She promised herself to see her dad at least four times a year, but because of the pandemic they have spent more time apart.
“It’s always been a fear of mine having an older father, of not having enough time with him. I don’t want to one day, be full of regret for not having given time to one of the most important people in my life,” she shared.
She wished for families who are experiencing the same situation to be reunited again soon.
