Pinoy netizens are waiting for Bretman Rock to “spill the tea” after the Filipino-American YouTube sensation threw shade at the local showbiz industry on Instagram.
In Bretman’s most recent Instagram post, a netizen commented, “You should audition for Pbb. HAHAHA everyone will love u,” suggesting that the beauty guru should join the ABS-CBN reality-TV show Pinoy Big Brother.
Bretman, who is based in Hawaii, took notice of the comment and had netizens talking after he replied: “Girl don’t even get me started on how Philippine showbiz treated me when I went home.”
One netizen speculated that the shade had something to do with Bretman’s guesting in the noontime variety show It’s Showtime.
Bretman didn’t elaborate on his response, but the same netizen was somehow convinced that the influencer was referring to the It’s Showtime appearance because “Bretman liked my reply”.
In 2016, then 17-year-old Bretman visited the country and appeared on It’s Showtime for its now-defunct Trabahula segment.
Netizens alleged that the program hosts’ jokes didn’t sit well with Bretman while others noted how the internet sensation looked uncomfortable during the show.
