Kris Lawrence is buying authentic luxury bags and repurposing them for his new business venture.
The singer-songwriter recently revealed in a Magandang Buhay interview that he had to find new ways to bring in income when the pandemic began.
“Medyo nag-panic ako nung naging pandemic kasi siyempre ‘yung pasok ng revenue natin talagang bumagsak. So gumawa na ako ng mga ibang paraan para kumita,” said Kris.
Among Kris’s new business ventures is a courier service ( J&Lyric Express) based in Cavite, which was named after his son Lyric.
Kris also started a personal protective equipment (PPE) business.
“I have a friend that has a company at ‘yung mga sewer niya nawalan din ng trabaho. Since we’re going into the new normal, if we’re gonna stay safe, might as well be swaggy and look stylish. So nabigyan namin ng trabaho ‘yung mga sewer na nawalan ng trabaho,” related Kris.
Another one is customized face masks and chest bags made from designer bags.
“What I do is bumibili ako ng mga luxury bags tapos sinisira ko, tapos gumagawa ako ng mga face mask, chest bags,” shared Kris.
“Love what you do and do what you love. For me, I love fashion so in-inject ko ‘yon sa mga business ko na ginawa ko. It’s also a passion,” he added.
