The websites of broadcast giants ABS-CBN and GMA have become inaccessible Thursday — and apparently, for hours already.
Some users on social media reported having trouble accessing the websites.
Visitors said a “your connection isn’t private” message popped up while accessing the news websites.
As of writing, Latest Chika tried visiting ABS-CBN’s website (abs-cbn.com) which showed its homepage, but the “your connection isn’t private” message appeared when we clicked on a certain article.
GMA’s website (gmanetwork.com), on the other hand, still appears to be down.
ABS-CBN News Digital Head Lynda Jumilla-Aballos also said in a tweet that users with such internet providers reported having accessibility problems with their website.
ABS-CBN has already issued a statement on the difficulty of accessing the websites through the network’s corporate communications head Kane Choa.
Attributing the incident to a “technical problem”, the network said, “While we have resolved the issues and restored the sites, some users may still encounter the problems but should be able to access them within the next 24 hours.”
ABS-CBN also apologized for the inconvenience it may have caused to users, adding that the company is already working with its partners in investigating the issue.
GMA Network, on the other hand, has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
