“The lengths I go to hug my mommy!”
Kapuso star Rhian Ramos said she had herself tested for COVID-19 before finally reuniting with her mother amid the further easing of lockdown restrictions in Metro Manila.
“The lengths I go to hug my mommy! Nagpatest ako and I’m safe ?,” the 29-year-old actress captioned her Instagram video post on Friday.
In the video, she can be seen happily waving her test result that showed she’s virus-free while entering her mother’s home.
“This is my negative test result,” Rhian also said before meeting her mom by the stairs, showing the piece of paper to her, and then giving her a tight, long embrace.
“I haven’t had a hug since lockdown,” her mom said.
In her most recent YouTube vlog, Rhian said she’s been living on her own since last year.
When a subscriber asked where her parents are, Rhian revealed, “My mom and my dad broke up when I was 9, I think. I’m not even sure about the timeline. They broke up when I was a kid. My dad moved to Thailand. My sister and I stayed with my mom. I was living with her just until last year. So we’re very much in contact and we always see each other. We always talk to each other.”
Based on her Instagram posts, she’s been trying to stay positive as the quarantine forced productions, including her GMA teleserye Love of My Life, to temporarily shut down.
In one of her posts, she reflected: “Taking time to appreciate it. Grateful to have a roof to be quarantined under, to have floor space to workout on, to have quiet to think through, to have groceries to cook, to have windows to look through, to have clothes and sheets to wash, to have dishes and tables to clean.. and when I think that there is something missing, I must remember that I’m only missing the right perspective.”
