Edward Barber wrote a sweet message for Maymay Entrata as the young actress turned a year older today.
The Kapamilya actor was an early bird in greeting his onscreen partner on her 23rd birthday via an Instagram post.
“Through all the chaos in the world, through all the joy and pain, all the storms brewing in our lives, you are a bright star of hope. I know things didn’t go how you planned this time. But I know that won’t stop you from smiling,” wrote Edward in the caption along with a selfie photo of Maymay.
The night before her birthday, Maymay appeared heartbroken as her home network ABS-CBN was ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission to cease broadcast operations following its franchise lapse.
In his message, Edward continued to remind Maymay that he always has her back.
“Your heart is full of God’s love, and He’s blessed you so you can be a blessing. And that’s what you are. God bless you always. Don’t forget that I have your back.”
MayWard earlier released a joint statement to clarify the status of their relationship, saying that they are not rushing things and would continue being bestfriends.
“Sa ilang taon naming pagsasama, sa trabaho man at sa personal, pareho po namin na-realize na sa estado ng buhay namin ngayon, we both are still very young and there is so much more we still want to achieve in our lives,” they said.
“Pareho po namin na-realize that being the best of friends will even be more beneficial for us. Mas kumportable kami makakapagtrabaho. Wala pong pagbabago. Kami pa din ang magkasama dahil there’s no one else we would rather work with than each other.”
