Kathryna Yu Pimentel, wife of Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, on Thursday shared a photo of their newborn baby.
In a separate Facebook post, Kathryna expressed how thankful she is for her second life after she gave birth to their firstborn daughter.
“I am grateful for my second life…me and Baby Helena survived a miracle emergency C-section delivery last March 29, 2020 (8 p.m.),” she wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to the people who helped for her safe delivery.
“Thank you to all of those who helped us, sacrificed and risked themselves just to save my life and baby Helena… I will be forever grateful to all of you… To the hospital and doctors who really took care of us with open arms…. Maraming salamat po,” she said.
“I am very humbled that all of (you) monitored me and our baby 24/7. We felt the genuine love, commitment and concern that no amount of money can buy… up to now I still can’t believe that me and my miracle baby are alive.??,” she continued.
Kathryna also vowed to give back to the “unexpected people” who “helped us during our time of life and death crisis.”
“You are all our angels sent from above…in time, po, when all this crisis is finished we will pay it forward to all of you.
“Thank you to all our true friends, family and loved ones who prayed for us during this crisis…. hindi nyo po kami binitawan sa dasal ?????? maraming, maraming salamat po.”
Last week, COVID-19 positive Senator Pimentel became controversial after he accompanied her then pregnant wife to the hospital despite waiting for his test results, drawing backlash from netizens and the Makati Medical Center for breaching the quarantine protocols.
On the other hand, Philstar.com reported that the baby is negative of the virus, while Kathryna’s test results have yet to be made public.
