A one-year-old baby from Cavite has tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The infant from Tanza, Cavite with recent travel history to Italy was previously monitored for the possible infection of the novel coronavirus.
Next to China, Italy is the second hardest-hit country of the pandemic virus.
Cavite governor Jonvic Remulla made the announcement on Saturday as part of the recent COVID-19 update on his Facebook page.
Last Monday, March 9, Gov. Remulla announced that the first confirmed case in the province was a man from Imus — a returning seaman who passed through Narita Airport in Japan.
The Department of Health on Saturday reported that there are eight total COVID deaths in the country.
