After Kris Bernal’s social media accounts were hacked by a “suspicious group” from Turkey, the Kapuso actress has finally retrieved her Instagram account.
“Good news to everyone that I finally got back my Instagram account after 3 tedious attempts,” she said in an Instagram post.
Kris also thanked those who have helped her, including her home network’s social media team.
According to Kris, just when she thought she had retrieved her account already, the hackers still kept on accessing it. It came to a point that she would receive security codes relentlessly.
“The first time GMA helped me to retrieve it, the hacker still kept on coming back, sending me messages and calling me on Whatsapp, until I secured it,” she explained.
The actress credited her home network, GMA, for their immediate action regarding the incident and everyone who helped her in their own ways.
“I want to take a moment to thank all the people who tried to help, suggested experts to contact, gave encouraging words and even those who tried to fight the hacker,” she said.
Even though her personal email and Twitter account have not been retrieved yet, Kris said she feels like “a whole new person on social media.”
