Willie Revillame greeted South Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo “annyeonghaseyo” after news about his “resemblance” to the K-drama oppa reached the Wowowin host.
A screenshot of Sang-woo’s character from the ongoing K-drama series Delayed Justice recently went viral online after netizens said that he is a lookalike of Willie.
Like many netizens, Willie, fondly called Kuya Wil, felt delighted and couldn’t agree more.
In an episode of Wowowin aired on Thursday, the TV host joked about being imitated by the South Korean star.
“May nanggagaya ho sa ‘kin. Ini-scam yung mukha ko. Isipin niyo isang Koreano ginaya ako!” said Kuya Wil.
Kuya Wil also shared that some Koreans sent him the screenshot and asked if it was him in the photo.
“Sino ba ‘yan Kwon Sang-woo? Annyeonghaseyo,” said Kuya Wil while rendering finger hearts.
“Ako ba ‘yan? Kamukha ko nga ano, oppa,” he added as Sang-woo’s photo was flashed on the screen.
Kuya Wil even went side by side with Sang-woo’s screenshot and appeared more convinced they are indeed lookalike.
“Yung buhok. Babalik ko na lang buhok ko. Takpan mo ‘to,” said Willie while covering Sang-woo’s lips.
“Oo nga ano. Pakita nga natin direk natutuwa ako eh,” he quipped.
The TV host was also surprised upon learning that Sang-woo played the male lead character in the hit 2003 K-drama Stairway to Heaven.
