Newlywed couple Kiefer Ravena and Diana Mackey revealed that they lost their baby due to a miscarriage.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the couple opened up about the loss, which occurred just a few weeks after they shared the pregnancy news and months before their wedding in June.
“Shortly after announcing it (noong March), a week or 2 weeks after announcing it, we lost the baby,” said Diana.
“A couple of weeks after, unfortunately, 7-8 weeks (old). But you know, God’s plan, God’s timing. Best thing siguro that happened is now she’s [Diana] healthy. Hopefully with God’s grace, we could try again. And see where it takes us… Life goes on,” said Kiefer.
The couple is also preparing for a second wedding celebration—this time on the beach in Palawan.
“We’re gonna have another one, soon, in Palawan. That’s where I really felt it that’s she was gonna be the one. So, we want to bring back and celebrate good time in El Nido, Palawan with our friends,” said Kiefer.
“Just to bring back and share how we all started and celebrate with our friends,” he added.
Kiefer also shared how he and Diana first met in June, thanks to beauty queen MJ Lastimosa, whom he called their “cupid.”
“I’m good friends with MJ for a very long time. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Oy! MJ, sabihin mo naman kay Diana mag-reply siya, imi-message ko siya ngayon’,” Kiefer recalled telling MJ.
“Hindi niya kasi pinapansin eh. Sabi ko, siguro out of pure awa na lang, nag-reply na siya. Siguro sinabi ni MJ sa kanya, ‘Oy! Reply-an mo naman ‘yung kaibigan ko,” added Kiefer.
